You may remember the bland, monochromatic school lunches that were — and are — ubiquitous in the public school system. Well, pretty much everyone knows they're not exactly the healthiest meals we could be feeding the youth. So why do we do it?
Well, the answer is complicated, but it starts with our lawmakers in Washington, DC. That's why policy change offers the best hope we have of creating a world in which everyone has access to real foods that aren't laden with chemicals and preservatives.
