These plant-based men are often asked about how they get their protein. Today, they tell us their favorite protein sources.
MBG: What's your favorite source of protein?
Bob Harper, The Biggest Loser: I eat a lot of beans, tempeh, quinoa, Green pea & Hemp protein. I always make a green drink and throw in plenty of hemp to get my protein.
Brendan Brazier, Thrive Diet: Hemp is a good one. Even just greens. Spinach and kale are 45% protein. Chlorella and spirulina are about 65%.
Rip Esselstyn, Engine 2 Diet: Greens and beans!!
Rich Roll, Ultraman: Quinoa, hemp, lentils, almonds, beans & brussels sprouts. Yes, they are all great sources of protein, believe it or not.
Mike Anderson, Rave Diet: All foods have protein, so I don't have a favorite source. I don't worry about it and I get plenty just by eating a 100% plant-based diet.
