Here at MindBodyGreen, we love to discuss (and debate) different approaches to healthy living. But one issue that we all seem to agree upon is that sugar is bad for you.
You name the ailment, and you can bet sugar plays a role in it. In fact, heart disease, cancer, dementia, type 2 diabetes, poor sleep quality, depression, acne, infertility, and impotence have all been associated with or exacerbated by sugar. Dr. Mark Hyman even compared sugar to a recreational drug.
We're always excited when those in the public eye decide to draw attention to this Public Enemy. We were intrigued to see this tweet from Kim Kardashian West, who is apparently considering cutting back on sugar:
