This Watermelon Chill “Smoothie” is a fantastic way to internally cool down and sip on pool- or beach-side during a warm, summer day. It’s simple to make, requiring less than four ingredients, yet has the perfect touch of natural sweetness that leaves you hydrated without the added sugars you find in iced teas and similar drinks. I call this a “smoothie” because it is blended, but the drink itself has much more of a juice consistency.

Combining watermelon with hydrating coconut water, the benefits of a banana and some high quality H20, this one’s sure to be your new summer favorite!

Refreshing Watermelon Chill Smoothie

makes 1-2 servings

  • 2 cups watermelon, diced
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 cup coconut water
  • 1 cup crushed ice

Combine all ingredients and blend in a high-powered blender (Vitamix, or similar option).

Serve and drink immediately, or refrigerate in an air-tight container (mason jars are my favorite go-to containers) for up to 24 hours.
