My Favorite Vitamin Cures For Gorgeous Summer Skin

In my work as a nutritionist specializing in vitamin cures, I often talk to people who are unhappy with their skin. Adult acne, extremely dry skin, a dull complexion, itchy and flaky skin, premature signs of aging, saggy skin, puffy eyes – there are so many ways our skin can give us a hard time.

But the good news is that it doesn't have to be like that! And the even better news: getting beautiful skin and a radiant complexion isn't that hard or expensive!

If you really want skin to die for, all you need is provide your body with an abundance of natural nutrients used both internally and externally, and you'll get flawless skin, a glowing complexion, as well as firm facial contours in return.

Here are five of my favorite vitamin cures for gorgeous summer skin:

1. Protective Summer Oil Blend

Of course you know that UV radiation causes lines and wrinkles. Do you apply sunscreen under your makeup every single day, though?

Probably not. But why not simply mix 8 parts sesame oil with 1 part carrot and raspberry seed oil each in a little brown bottle, and use this blend as a moisturizer before you reach for your makeup and powder?

This oil blend may not be able to protect your face for an entire day, but it's perfect for when you're on your way to the office, or when you take a short walk outside during your lunch break.

2. Anti-Aging and Anti-Acne Face Mask

I love berries! Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries – you name it, I'll have it. In fact, several handfuls of berries a day provide you with tons of antioxidants, which are crucial to feel and look younger.

But don't you hate it when berries get mushy? Good news! Simply blend them with a little bit of fresh cream or Greek yogurt, a tablespoon of honey and some ground oatmeal until you get a nice, thick paste.

This face pack provides astringent and anti-inflammatory agents to fight acne, removes dead skin cells thanks to the salicylic acid contained in the berries, and the vitamin C will plump up your skin and give it a nice glow!

3. Happy Feet Treatment

Because we hide our feet in thick socks and boots in the winter, many people forget to take proper care of them. As soon as the flip flop season begins, however, they realize they need a cure for dry and callous skin, and they need it fast!

Does this sound familiar? No reason to panic.

Use my Happy Feet Treatment once per day for a couple of days in a row and your feet will be nice and smooth again:

Puree 1 apple, 2 Tbsp. warm honey and 1 tsp. sour cream until smooth. Apply the mask to your feet and wrap them in a towel. Put your feet up and relax for 20 minutes.

Rinse with warm water, dry your feet and apply some coconut oil. The ingredients in this foot mask promote new skin growth and are incredibly hydrating.

This recipe yields more than one mask. Share it with a friend or your partner or store leftovers in the fridge.

4. Melon Slices for Puffy Eyes

If it's really hot outside I sometimes just can't sleep. This might be OK for one night, but a couple of nights in a row take their toll: puffy eyes.

Luckily, I always have watermelon in my fridge, and the dry part that forms on the top of exposed watermelon heart (you can never eat an entire watermelon at once!) is exactly what you need when suffering from a lack of sleep.

Cut it into super thin slices and put them on your face. Wait for a couple of minutes and your puffy eyes will be gone!

(If you don't like watermelon, used chamomile tea bags have the same effect if you freeze them lightly).

5. After-Sun Tomato Wrap

Although I always make sure that my skin never burns, it can sometimes feel a little taut after spending a lot of time outside.

My vitamin cure? A tomato pack! Mix 4 Tbsp. tomato paste with the content of 4 vitamin E capsules and 4 drops peppermint oil.

Vitamin E accelerates healing of skin, peppermint oil has a cooling effect, and the lycopene contained in tomatoes not only protects against the risk of skin cancer, it also gives you a slightly tanned and glowing complexion!

Of course, you can't solve all your skin issues overnight. However, when I started using vitamin cures both internally and externally, I noticed incredible changes within a very short time, and my clients do, too.

Simply give it a try and you'll be blown away by the healing power of vitamin cures. I look forward to reading about your results in the comments below!
