Eating Meat Is Getting Way Less Popular (Infographic)

If you're a regular MindBodyGreen reader, you've probably heard of Meatless Monday. The movement, started in 2003, encourages people to give up meat one day a week; doing so can help reduce saturate fat intake, minimize the carbon footprint of industrial meat production, and make your wallet a little happier.

In a little more than a decade of existence, Meatless Monday's popularity has exploded. It's now observed in 36 countries, and may be at least in part responsible for a reduction in meat consumption.

Here's an infographic from Health Perch that shows just how popular Meatless Monday has become. What do you think? Do you participate in the movement?
