GT's Kombucha Will Have Two Product Lines: Original Line with Alcohol, New Line Without It

GT's Synergy kombucha will soon have two lines of product back in stores. One line will stay true to the original raw, organic formula that we're all used to, and will be reintroduced with an "AP5" code. The other line will be below the .5% alcohol level and will have a "BP5" code.

UNFI, the largest distributor of natural and organic foods in the country, sent the following update (pdf) to its vendors:

GT’s anticipates issuing a statement and an FAQ sheet to the trade as soon as possibly later today to clarify their upcoming plans and positioning for the launch of an above .5% alcohol line (code named AP5) and the later launch of a below .5% alcohol line (code named BP5). Presently, GT’s is not manufacturing or distributing any product.

GT tells MindBodyGreen, "We are getting close with the relaunch but we still have a few weeks ahead."
