Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes says she wants her daughter to have "different aspirations in life than beauty and modeling."
The pregnant Victoria's Secret Angel, who came in fifth on Forbes' 2012 top-earning models list after raking in $6.9 million that year, told Page Six, "Though I love my job, I’m not changing the world. I’d love for her to study and to have different aspirations. We need to teach girls they can become presidents, and it’s not about beauty all the time."
"Instead of saying, ‘You’re so beautiful,’ I’ll say, ‘You’re smart,’ so she’ll have different aspirations in life than beauty and modeling," said Kroes.
The 29-year-old model announced she and husband Sunnery James were expecting a girl via Instagram in March. The couple welcomed son Phyllon Joy Gorré in 2011.
