Veganize That: Carob Mousse (Raw & Gluten Free)

This is one of my favorite nighttime treats: it’s healthy, delicious, sugar-free, and most importantly for me at night: caffeine free. Sometimes even the littlest bit of caffeine from chocolate can mess with your sleep, so this is a great alternative to your nighttime chocolate indulgence. It’s super easy to make — all you need is a bowl, a fork, and a few ingredients. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 4 tablespoons raw carob powder
  • 1 Tbsp. plus more, as desired raw coconut water
  • 1 tsp. raw ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. raw ground cardamom
  • pinch of sea salt

Directions

Using a fork, mash avocado and all of the ingredients together, then stir until desired consistency is achieved. Top with your favorite berries or shaved coconut, if desired. Enjoy!
