Start Your Weekend With This Pear & Mango Green Smoothie
I’m on a super veggie-loving green smoothie kick right now, and I’ve been enjoying not one, but two green smoothies a day! I’m also obsessed with pears at the moment (yay for seasonal produce!). Out of my current fixations this smoothie was born, and let me tell you, it is mighty tasty.
If you’re someone who doesn’t enjoy eating green leafy vegetables, this is a perfect way to “sneak” them into your diet. This recipe great for those who don’t want to taste the “green” part of the green smoothie, but still make Popeye proud.
Pear and Mango Green Smoothie
Yields: 1 serving
- 1 large pear
- 1 cup frozen mango
- 2 to 3 handfuls spinach
- 2 stalks kale
- 1 cup water (more for a thinner consistency)
Place all ingredients in high speed blender and blend until smooth.
To make this more filling, add 1/2 of a small ripe avocado and a scoop of plant-based protein powder. You can play around with the ratios of the ingredients to suit your tastes. Have fun and enjoy!
