Warming Winter Pear & Spice Smoothie

Even though it's cold outside, I still love to begin my day with a blended smoothie loaded with raw superfoods for a nutritious boost. I've discovered a way to warm myself from the inside out by adding an assortment of spices. They add anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-fungal benefits that help keep me, my family, and my clients toasty warm, and healthy, too.

The delicate sweetness of pear lends itself to this assortment of spice, while coconut, dates, and ground flax seeds makes this taste as satisfying as a slice of pie. Give this warming smoothie a try this winter season; just keep the spices and ditch the guilt!

Warming Winter Pear & Spice Smoothie

Serves: 1


(all organic if possible)

  • 1 fresh pear, cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • 3 tablespoon raw hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon raw, flaked coconut
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2-3 plump, fresh medjool dates
  • 8 ounces coconut water


Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender.
