Vegan Recipe: Cherry-Banana Sorbet
Farmer's markets are brimming with summer's fresh fruits and berries. Enjoy the season's bounty with a fruit sorbet that rivals the real thing, without the added sugar and colorings.
- 10 oz pitted cherries
- 1 very ripe banana
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon water
Peel banana and cut in half.
Freeze the banana and cherries in a covered container for a minimum of 1-2 hours.
Blend cherries, banana, and maple syrup in a food processor, adding just enough water for a smooth consistency.
Freeze in a container for a couple of hours, or until firm.
