Nearly every meal you prepare requires cutting of some sort, and it can be difficult if you don’t know exactly how to do it. Plus, what’s the difference between mincing, julienning and cutting? Module 7
Putting It All Together To Make Nourishing & Amazing Meals

Making slow cooked stews and soups is an excellent strategy for cooking nourishing meals at home if you’re tight on money and time. Why? They can be made-ahead very easily and fit neatly into any batch cooking strategy. In this session, Phoebe walks you through a delicious one-pot staple: Minestrone soup with turkey sausage & fennel.

When you take a look at the meal plans included in the additional materials, you’ll notice that they are “make-ahead”. This means that most of each meal can be made ahead of time, typically in one long cooking session on a Sunday. Then, the night of, there are last-minute accents, like a piece of salmon, that you throw in to complete the meal. At the core of each of these make-ahead meals are batch-cooking building blocks. These are the superhero ingredients that really form the foundation of each meal. In this session, Phoebe walks you through them one-by-one.

As you’ll find when you dive into this batch cooking lifestyle, there are certain ingredients that simply can’t be made ahead. Things like fish or a dressed salad are best left to the night of. In this session, Phoebe puts everything you’ve learned in this course together, combining batch cooking building blocks with last minute accents to make an amazing, clean meal.
