Overview
The Transcendental Meditation® technique (TM), as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, is a simple, natural technique practiced 15-20 minutes twice daily sitting comfortably with eyes closed. It is unique among techniques of meditation - distinguished by its effortlessness, naturalness and the extensive scientific research that demonstrates its effectiveness.

During practice, the mind transcends its usual active state and the awareness settles down to quieter, more subtle levels, until a state of 'inner silence' or 'restful alertness' is experienced. Correspondingly, the brain functions more coherently, and the body gains a profound state of rest that dissolves deeply rooted stresses in the physiology. Regular practitioners report better health, greater energy, more creativity, and an enhanced ability to cope with stress.

TM has been learned by over 6 million people, and its benefits demonstrated in over 600 scientific research studies conducted at over 200 separate universities and research institutions around the world.

The first step to learn is to attend a free Introductory Talk. These are held regularly in the Dallas and Fort Worth area. Please call (214) 821-8686 or go to www.tm.org/dallasftworth for more information.
