Before you turn off your air conditioner, hop in a hybrid cab, and head to the airport, here are three cheap and easy tips to eat greener on your next flight:
- Bring your own SIGG water bottle and ask the flight attendant to refill it. Though remember to make sure it's empty when you travel through security.
- Bring some organic or natural treats from home. Nuts, granola, cookies, and chips usually travel well. Or maybe some organic chocolate? Fruit will work too.
- If you're NOT gonna eat it, then don't take it! If the flight attendant is passing some cookies laden with high-fructose corn syrup (evil!), then politely refuse rather than accepting and later throwing away.
