When Okafor was a rookie back in 2004 he researched how former NBA centers like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Hakeen Olajuwon had such long careers.
"With yoga, I heard Kareem used to do it," Okafor said. "Pilates, Hakeem said he did it."
"I figured the more loose you feel, the better you play," Okafor said of yoga. "I just feel good. It's especially good for your back. It makes everything just move easier."
