Richard Gere Spends Week with Dalai Lama & Supports Veggie Zones

Participates in Five Day Teachings & Lobbies for Small Town

Actor Richard Gere, a longtime Buddhist, just spend the past week in India where he took part in a five-day teaching session led by the Dalai Lama.

While in India, Gere also lent his support to the Indian town of Bodhgaya and their desire to become a “vegetarian zone” – that’s right, they are lobbying for their town to be “meat free.”
