Mandy Moore Talks Pilates, Farmers' Markets & Her 2010 Goals in Shape Magazine
Highlights from her interview
Mandy Moore had a big year in 2009, including a marriage to rock-star, Ryan Adams. She talked to Shape magazine about her goals for 2010. Hit The Farmers Market and Eat More Fruit & Veggies:
"Ryan is an amazing cook, and there's a farmers' market about a mile from our house," she says. "I love the idea of getting up early on Sundays and walking to the market to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables. It's a good way to start my day, and it makes me feel like I've accomplished something before other people are even awake."
Change Up Her Workout:
In 2009, Mandy's workout included three 45-minute Pilates classes and three 45-minute hikes per week. "I've always had bad posture, and Pilates makes me feel taller and reminds me to keep my shoulders back," she says. "After Pilates I should do some cardio, and after hiking, I need to do some resistance training," she says. "I have all the equipment in my house, and it's just collecting dust. So after I get home from Pilates, I'm going to jump on my mini trampoline for 15 minutes. And after a hike, I'll do some weight lifting or get down on my mat and do a set or two of crunches."
