Yoga Helps Inmates in India's Toughest Prison

Bhopal central jail holds some of India's most notorious convicts. But unlike other prisons, the men here are calm and there aren't many conflicts. Why is this? Yoga.

PBS reports on the prison's yoga program which they began just two years ago. The video is filled with some pretty amazing testimonials from the inmates. Here are three of my favorites:
"I feel healthy when I do yoga, and I don’t have any violent thoughts. It helps me have positive thoughts."

"In the past, before yoga, my mind used to wander a lot. I used to be like a bird in a cage. I used to have a lot of anger."

"I get a lot of peace of mind after doing yoga. Whenever I do yoga exercises I really feel at peace. You really want to be at peace here."
