Miranda Kerr definitely embodies the mindbodygreen lifestyle as she's a big believer in yoga, eating an organic plant-based diet, and even has her own organic skin care line, Kora. Miranda shares some of her diet secrets and her favorite supplements on the Kora blog, which includes following a diet based on her blood type:
I am a blood type A and more often than not I eat specifically for my blood type (following Dr John D’Adamo’s blood type eating plan). I also eat low GI, high alkaline foods, drink filtered water and eat mostly fresh produce and very little meat.Miranda says she's suffered from low iron (Anemia) so she eats "a lot of sea vegetables, pumpkin seeds, nuts and iron rich vegetables."
She's also a big believer in supplements:
I believe it is important to supplement our food to ensure our bodies have the nutrition required to remain healthy. This is even more important if you do not eat certified organic foods and certified organic fresh produce.It appears one of her favorite supplements is organic coconut oil!
I personally take around 4 tablespoons of coconut oil per day either on salads, in my cooking or in my cups of green tea!! I will not go a day without Coconut Oil. It is also great for the skin and hair.I definitely recommend checking out her full post on the Kora blog -- she knows her stuff!
