Greening Your Kitchen for Beginners: 5 Easy Tips
How to green your kitchen in just a few minutes.
Going green can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to the kitchen.

Here are five FREE and easy tips to make your kitchen greener right now:

1. Keep the fridge & freezer full. Yes, a fully stocked refrigerator uses less energy than an empty one.

2. Wait to store warm or hot food. If you just had a delicious and warm dinner, wait before your food cools off before you throw it in the refrigerator. The hot temperature of the food will cause the fridge to work harder.

3. Use the dishwasher. You save 37% more water. (So says the California Energy Commission ).

4. Do not dump grease or oils down the drain. It can damage pipes and the sewer system. Not exactly environmentally-friendly.

5. Drink Tap Water.
