3 iPhone Apps That Make Organic Cooking & Shopping Easier
These apps help make grocery shopping easier and healthier.

Getting started with organic food cooking and shopping just got easier with these three iPhone apps:

1. Locavore ($3, pictured) Locavore uses GPS to find out what foods are in season in you area, what's coming into season, and the locations of the nearest farmers markets.

2. Whole Foods Market Recipes (Free) Do you want to start cooking with natural and organic foods? Search Whole Foods Market Recipes for delicious recipes that include everything from breakfast to dinner to dessert. It also provides ingredients, directions, and a store locator.

3. Dirty Produce (Free) This "Shoppers Guide to Pesticides" will help remind you what produce you should buy organic and which produce you can save money on by not buying organic.

I'm a fan of Locavore, too. I see lutefisk is coming into season here shortly in Minnesota.

Locavore really rocks. Normally I stick to the free apps on the iPhone, but this one is worth the $3.
